Our website ordering capabilities have been very helpful to our customers and parts staff. We thank you for allowing us to serve you. As with any transaction there are opportunities where the wrong item is ordered and a customer inconvenience will occur. We really strive to minimize any mistakes and apologize if we made one.
Exchange of Damaged or Defective Items
Our packaging is done with care to insure that your order is received in good condition. For shipments via Fed Ex, UPS or common carrier, please note the discrepancy, damage, etc., on freight bill and immediately file proper claim with delivering carrier. Damage and shortage of packages is the responsibility of the delivering carrier.
If you receive a defective item, fill out the Return Merchandise Authorization Form and obtain a Return Authorization Number. We do not give authorizations over the phone.
This must be done within 48 hours after receipt of the merchandise. Please follow the instructions. We will promptly send you a replacement after you have returned the damaged or defective product. You will not be charged any additional shipping or handling fees for replacement shipments.
Other Exchanges
You will not be charged any additional shipping or handling fees for exchange shipments resulting from our mistake.
If any part ordered is incorrect due to an error on our behalf, please send it back to us within 30 days of your purchase and it will be corrected. Fill out the Return Merchandise Authorization Form and obtain a Return Authorization Number. We do not give authorizations over the phone.

Items Return Policy
No merchandise may be returned to us without prior written authorization. We will accept, after permission has been given, merchandise that may appear to be defective or merchandise shipped in error. The cost of shipping will be credited only in those instances where the return is a result of our error. Special orders, materials made to order, cut to length, etc., cannot be cancelled and are not returnable. Within 15 days of receipt of your order any item in original working condition with no visible or otherwise wear and tear can be returned (MUST BE RETURNED IN ORIGINAL OEM PACKING) for a refund less 20% restocking fee and less the shipping charges for parts and accessories that are non-stock items.
There are absolutely no returns or exchanges on any electrical parts. Please be sure of what you need before ordering anything in this category and contact us if you need clarification.

Other Instructions and Information
Credit for original payment by Bank Wire Transfer, Paypal, Check or Western Union will be made by check within 1-2 weeks from the date returned products are processed.
Returns without a Return Authorization Number will not be accepted.
Be sure to send your return via an insured carrier. Boats.Net is not responsible for lost returns.
Please allow 4 weeks for domestic (US) returns to be processed, or 4 to 6 weeks for international returns.
If you do not receive credit for your return within the time frames shown above, please trace your return shipment using the tracking number provided to you by the shipper when you shipped the package. If the tracking information indicates that Boats.Net has received the package, please notify parts@boats.net as soon as possible. Be sure to include your order number in your message.
Warranty
As a seller of marine equipment, we purchase from several hundred manufacturers and distribute their products throughout our marketing area. Most of these manufacturers have a warranty for their product line, a copy of which is available upon request. We do not offer warranties, expressed or implied, other than what is offered by the manufacturers. Boats.net does not assume responsibility or liability for the workmanship or use of products purchased from our manufacturing suppliers. However, as a courtesy to our customers, we will accept for return any products sold by our company that may appear defective. Acceptance of any such products by Boats.net does not constitute an admission of liability nor validity to a claim but is done solely to assist customer and manufacturer. Products that are accepted under the above conditions are either returned to the manufacturer or held for their agent to inspect for any warranty consideration.
