How to Cancel an Order
We understand certain situations may arise where an order or part of an order may need to be canceled. Boats.net works extremely hard to fill orders in the shortest amount of time possible. Therefore, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible of your cancellation request by sending an email to email@example.com You may also click on the Live Chat button on any Boats.net page for immediate help cancelling an order during business hours.
All orders canceled may be subject to a 15% restocking fee based on the specific parts ordered. This fee is based on 15% of the merchandise value. We work hard to accommodate all customer needs, however, once an order has entered the shipping process it will be subject to a restocking fee.
Q) Why is there a restocking fee? A) Boats.net pays shipping to return the unwanted part back to the manufacturer, and we also pay a restocking fee to the manufacturer whenever we return goods. Boats.net does absorb the shipping cost but we pass a portion of the restocking fee that the manufacturer charges us on to the customer.
Q) Will I be charged a restocking fee if I am making a change and not a cancellation? A) In most cases you will not be charged a restocking fee for making changes to your order in cases where you need to replace an incorrect part ordered with correct items needed, however, there may be some exceptions. Contact us if you have questions about changes or exceptions.
Q) How long do I have to cancel an order without being charged a restocking fee? A) Once the order enters the shipping process the order is subject to restocking fees. When your part will enter the shipping process depends on your order details. In-stock parts may enter the shipping process within an hour; out of stock parts may take a day or longer.
